Finance Committee

The Finance Committee help the Parish Priest in the administration of the parish.

Five parishioners and the Parish Priest serve on our finance committee and meet 4 times each year. An annual Financial Report is presented to the parish and discussed by parishioners at an open meeting.

Financial matters relating to the administration of the shared church of Christ The King in Symonds Green are dealt with by a Joint Church Council on which representatives of the three denominations serve.

Parishioners interested in serving on the parish finance committee or on the Joint Church Council should contact Father Frank.

Gift Aid Scheme

The Parish operates a Gift Aid scheme. Under this scheme the parish can receive back from the Inland Revenue 28p for every £1 donated to the parish by an eligible payer of income tax. In order to make the claim, the donor is required to submit to the parish a signed declaration stating that he or she is a tax payer.
